Valastor is the slash ship between Valentino and Alastor from the Hazbin Hotel fandom.
Canon[]
Alastor and Valentino are Overlords who oversee different parts of Hell's media, radio and adult films.
Season One[]
Though the two didn't interacted throughout the first season, "Radio Killed the Video Star" shows that Val is aware of Alastor and his rivalry with Vox, along with having knowledge of the time that Alastor had bested Vox. Because Alastor had been absent from Hell for seven years, Valentino had thought that Alastor was gone for good, like Vox did, and after he learned of his return Val uses it to get Vox interested in the Hazbin Hotel. While being amused with how the mention of Alastor gets Vox rattled up. The song, "Stayed Gone" also subjects that Alastor knows of Valentino as well, as he sings about how Vox would be powerless without the other Vees. A statement that Val is shown to agree with, along with Velvette.
Unknown to Alastor during the events of "The Show Must Go On," Valentino was watching the Radio Demon's battle with Adam, from within the safety of V Tower with the rest of the Vees. Although Val didn't look interested in the battle between Adam's exorcist army and the hotel, he does smile after Alastor got hurt by Adam and then smilies again when Alastor's retreat causes Vox to angrily stomp back to his seat. During the final song of the first season, Valentino mentions Alastor fleeing from the battle with his tail between his legs, as he sings and dances with Vox, believing that the Radio Demon is missing and it was time for the Vees to shake things up in Hell. While being unaware that Alastor reappears after the destroyed hotel was rebuild.
Season Two[]

Fanon[]
Although the two Overlords didn't interact throughout the first season, Valentino shown to be aware of Alastor and the rivalry he has with Vox, as well the Radio Demon knowing that Val is a member of the Vees, was enough to inspire people to support this ship. Because Valastor was marked as slash before Alastor was revealed to be Asexual, it got some people to reconsider the ship's type, but since Vizziepop saying that she doesn't mind him being shipped with other characters, it got another group to argue that it's ship type should remain the way it is. Even though it has been hinted that Alastor has a dislike towards men and only likes to be touch by women.
Because of the way Valentino finds amusement in Vox's strong dislike for Alastor, it has created an AU that has Val seeing Alastor behind Vox's back, while having no shame for his actions towards Vox, or simply realises that he loves Alastor more than he loves Vox. There have also been AU's that have Alastor joining the Vees, and it leads to a relationship between Al and Val to form. Those who take a much darker approach with their AU's surrounding the ship, however, place Alastor in situations where he is forced to work for Valentino. Or have Alastor gaining control over Valentino's soul, like he did with Husk and is known for hunting Overlords.
After the Vees were revealed to be the main antagonists of season two, it got some fans of the ship to hope for canon interactions between the two Overlords. Basing their artworks and fanfics of what they would like those moments to detail. As well as making edits of Alastor and Valentino, and then pass them off as a sneak peek scene from the second season.[1]
