Parisian Excursion Arc

Vanitas and Noé go to help the cursed and intend to catch the nine-corpse murderer , to prove the power of The Book Of Vanitas by order of Count Parks Orlok. Meanwhile, Johann whispers to Dante that "Ruthven's Bourreau" is here, her friend might die, which shocks Dante. Back at the group, Vanitas meets the wolf "Loup Garou" and saves Riche, who is Dante's friend. She thanks Vanitas for helping her. Before Vanitas can finish the nine murders, a mysterious cloaked woman walks up with a boy, who seems to be the son of a nobleman. He introduces himself as Luca, and she is Jeanne. We are vampires.

Luca approaches Vanitas and offers to give him the Book of Vanitas, believing it to be a cursed book and that if Vanitas is not destroyed, he will torture his brother, but Vanitas refuses. Jeanne, seeing the negotiations as futile, lifts a heavy coffin over Vanitas' head, hoping to crush him to death. The young vampire pulls Vanitas behind him, nullifying the attack.

As they fought, Vanitas swings his whip at her's cloak.. When Vanitas saw Jeanne's face under the veil, he fell in love with her at first sight. Unfortunately, Jeanne picked up the "Carpe Diem" glove. Vanitas was in a trance and was interested in Luca, and was terrified. When he realized that she was the "Hellfire Witch", he ran away, telling Noé to stop standing there. The woman was Bourreau, and had killed tens of thousands of treacherous vampires. She took the name of a saint, He called her name it "Jeanne Hellfire Witch".

Before Vanitas is drank again and rumors of him being Jeanne's lover and the mark of possession spread throughout the school, Reese and Amelia, who are in the next room, cheerfully discuss the future of love between Sasaki Jeanne and Suzuki Vanitas.

Vanitas, tired from a long day, decides to take a bath in an unused building. He is naked, and someone enters. It is Sasaki Jeanne. Vanitas and Noè travel through time to Japan and have to play a game with the teacher to return to their original world. In the scene before Jeanne kisses Vanitas on the cheek, Vanitas says to himself “It's cold...” while he's in despair. Jeanne coming to him right after that is meant to be shown as his salvation. Jeanne saved him from despair and brought him warmth, and he realizes that he's truly fallen in love with her.
