Vars is the slash ship between Venus and Mars from the SolarBalls fandom.
Canon[]
As for now, the relationship between Venus and Mars in the early Solar System is unknown, such as how they first met or how they originated, but we can take a look at their current relationship.
Initially, Venus and Mars were frenemies, usually sharing facts with each other. Venus is sometimes seen hanging out with both Earth and Mars. However, after the Earth insulted Titan and the rest of the moons, Mars distanced himself from him and the Earth became "best friends" with Venus, he appears to dislike Mars for turning his back to Earth.
In Venus vs Mars, Venus accidentally hits Mars with an asteroid, the action that made Mars' patience run out, Mars and Venus start an argument. Venus was told by Mars that being a good friend is more than hanging out with them, but to help them improve. After both competing in "Who-is-the-better-friend-to-the-Earth", Mars led him to believe that he was only dragged to the competition for "validation" and decides to unfriend Earth.
After leaving the Earth, Venus and Mars befriended in the episode 'The Battle of the Planets' where they played cards together. Although they were now friends, both felt their friendship awkward because the only point they had in common was the Earth. After the moons offered joining to their revolution against the Earth, both decline and stand up for him. Unfortunately, due to the larger amount of moons, Venus and Mars are ambushed and get seriously injured.
In The Rocky Planets, they settled the trouble with each other along with the other rocky planets and became close friends, often playing Space Pokers together.
From that moment, Venus and Mars kept their relationship plain, something that they will always have in common is protecting the Earth despite everything, while keep things in check. For example, in 'The Solar System Trials - Part 1', they keep an eye on the moons while Earth stays safe in the goldilocks zone.
In general, Mars and Venus have different character traits that may contrast the way both percieve different situations, but both will stand up for what they care and will take action if necessary.

Fanon[]
Although not the most popular, Vars is a well known ship in the SolarBalls fandom. The ship started to get recognizion after both characters temporally unfriended the Earth due his high ego in 'Venus vs Mars'. Even after Earth stopped being friends with Mars for Venus (to later leave him anyway) both joined forces to defend Earth. It could be considered Frenemies to Lovers.
The pair values the contrast between both characters behavior, Venus being hot-headed and irritable while Mars has a more empathetic and calm nature. Due the heavy implication of both potentially had life before (especially Venus), Mars understands Venus' pain of not being such successful planet like the Earth, making him realize that he doesn't need to be friends with the him only for validation.
Along with Vearth, the ship gained popularity due to the infamous "Can You Feel It?" animation recurring inside and outside the fandom, which was also well know in communities like the Gacha fanbase.
The ship rivals with popular pairs such as Marth, Vearth and Vercury, among the rocky planets. Some people ship all of them because they are close friends since 'The Rocky Planets' and all four of them are often seen playing Space Poker.
