Their first appearance together in the games is in Sonic Heroes, where their teams stumble upon one another after traversing the Lost Jungle. Vector was going to ask Amy for information, but the latter thought it was “about a date” and told that it will have to wait. In retaliation, the crocodile called her a brat. Big chastises Vector’s team, saying that it is “not nice to tease [his] friends”. Later, they, alongside their teammates and the other rivaling teams, help defeat Neo Metal Sonic after reasoning with one another.

Amy and Vector appear in Shadow the Hedgehog, but they do not directly interact with each other as the crocodile is with his team aboard the Space Colony ARK. The black hedgehog can choose to fulfill the tasks of both characters, alongside with the other major characters over the course of the game.

In Sonic Generations, they were in Sonic’s birthday party and were sucked in to the time-space void. Sonic and his classic self freed them during the course of the game. Together with the other main characters, they later appeared in the climax motivating the two Sonics as they took on the Time Eater.

In Sonic Free Riders, Vector was a temporary member of Team Rose when Amy hired her to the second World Grand Prix hosted by Dr. Eggman. Together with Cream, they competed against three other teams; with their riding data unknowingly transmitted to Metal.

In Sonic Forces, they are members of the underground Resistance. Alongside the rest of the Chaotix and Silver, Amy and Vector were present when Knuckles introduces the rookie to them. They fought together with the other main characters against Infinite and his army.

They have also appeared in the spin-off games Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series, Super Smash Bros. series (as trophies and spirits), and Sonic Dash.

In “Defective Detectives”, Vector and his team are behind a bush looking for ways to get into the Thorndyke mansion. Inside, Amy is worried for Sonic not coming back in time, in which Tails replies that the blue hedgehog might have lost track of time. She swings her hammer in the air, inadvertently hitting a camouflaged Espio as he enters the open window. The chameleon lands on the leaves of a nearby tree, dropping down near his teammates. Vector asks him if he is all right, Espio replies that he thinks he is, complimenting the hedgehog’s use of her hammer. The crocodile and Charmy then crash into the mansion, asking Tails to “drop the act”, “give up”, and hand over Cream. When Vector mistook Ella for the rabbit’s bodyguard, he grabs Charmy by the thorax, pointing his stinger at the residents. Amy starts the brawl, with the rest of the other joining in. Sonic comes in with Vector’s client, halting the fight. With mother and daughter reunited, Amy and Vector can be seen beside each other. Sonic and Amy asks the team to stay for a while, but Vector says that he is in a rush. The residents of the mansion chuckle, ending the episode.

Sonic Boom[]

While Vector himself does not physically appear in “Where Have All The Sonics Gone?” as Amy does, one of Morpho’s transformations was the crocodile.

In “Vector Detector”, Amy calls for professional help in finding her missing hammer. The crocodile pushes the front door of her house open, at the same time his crew shoot a reality show. Later, Vector opens a trunk and pulls out Amy’s hammer, and the hedgehog gives him a hug, to Sonic’s dismay. When the crocodile tracked down Dixon at the cat’s home, the latter flees, only to be stopped by Amy with her hammer in hand seeking “extra justice”.

Vector also appears in the season 2 finale episode, but is never seen interacting directly with Amy. However, the crocodile aids her team in searching for Dr. Eggman and his doppelgänger after Shadow threatened to end the world. They also appear in Sonic Dash 2 as unlockable characters.

Fanon[]

A rare pairing the fandom, as both characters have a large age gap. There are yet to be any linked tags from social media or fan-art sites for this ship. No fan-made fictions for this pair has been made as of November 2021.

DeviantArtist Heartsissopure has been making fan art of the pairing since 2020. Most of her fan art are manips of both characters from Sonic X, Sonic Boom, and the IDW comics. She also createdthose featuring an aged-up Amy with new clothes, an example being this one depicting the hedgehog hugging Vector instead of Vanilla.

A fan art by theOrangeSunflower depicts Amy walking with “Classic” Vector (his initial appearance in Knuckles’ Chaotix and early comics). There are comments appreciating the drawing and the so-called “crack pairing”, while one says that it is “still a better ship than SonAmy”. Shipping Modern Amy with “Classic” Vector could be considered acceptable, with an age gap between them of about 4 years.

Those who do ship the two, at least as friends, would combine their exceptional combat skills with romantic appeal and investigative intellect.
