Velvet Room Sisters is the family ship between Margaret and Elizabeth from the Persona fandom.
Canon[]
Margaret and Elizabeth are sisters, with Margaret being the eldest member of the family. Along with the rest of their family, they both work in the Velvet Room at some point. They seem to have somewhat of a strained relationship with each other, and Elizabeth is shown to be jealous or otherwise overly competitive with her sister. When she learns about the events that transpire with Margaret's guest in Persona 4: Dancing All Night, she decides that she wants to host a similar dance-themed event with her own guest.
Margaret does show deep concern for Elizabeth, especially following her departure from the Velvet Room. Margaret takes over as the aid to Igor in Persona 4, allowing Elizabeth the chance to seek out Makoto Yuki. If Margaret fights Yu Narukami, she comments that not even Elizabeth was as skilled as him in combat. It is unknown whether the fighting between Margaret and Elizabeth was a friendly spar, or a genuine battle.
In Persona 4: Arena, Elizabeth is excited to meet Yu as she is seeking the power of the Wild Card. Yu immediately recognizes her as appearing similar to Margaret, and asks if she knows anyone by that name. Elizabeth reacts with surprise to hearing her sister's name, but then confirms that she is indeed Margaret's sister. Elizabeth and Margaret reunite in Persona 4: Arena Ultimax, and Margaret tries to convince her to return to the Velvet Room. Elizabeth refuses, but Margaret is confident that she will one day see her sister again.
Fanon[]
Velvet Room Sisters is somewhat of a rare pairing in the Persona fandom. Despite the fact that their relationship is canonical, the two only ever interact in spin-off games. Persona 4 Golden even removes most explicit mentions of Elizabeth, when compared to the vanilla version of the game. Fans enjoy the idea of the two sisters, especially as they have starkly different personalities. Margaret is cool and mature, whereas Elizabeth is over-dramatic and goofy. This leads to plenty of strong fan interpretations for the two.
There is currently only one work on AO3 for the sisters, although there are more works for the relationship of all five Velvet Siblings together.
