Vinira is the femslash ship between Viney and Emira from The Owl House fandom.
Canon[]
As of yet, Viney and Emira did not interact. However, they do share certain character traits with one another. Particularly, both characters are depicted as having a penchant for troublemaking and messing with others. In her debut, 'Lost in Language', Emira is seen disrupting and pranking the staff of the Bonesborough Library for fun. Even after being banned from the library, she proceeds to trespass on the property after hours. It's also stated in the episode that she and her brother have been cutting classes at school. Similarly, Viney is introduced in 'The First Day' as part of the "detention track" at Hexside, being directly labeled as a troublemaker by both Principal Bump and herself. Later, when the detention track students bring Luz to their hideout, Viney threateningly tells her "This is the last room you'll ever see alive", before laughing it off, saying she just wanted to mess with Luz.
The two have other similarities regarding their appearance. Both of their uniform skirts are torn. They both usually have their hair tied up. Both have dark blue uniform sleeves. This shows that they are both in the healing track. They are a part of two covens instead of just one, one of them being healing. They both like healing. In "For The Future" both of their pants are ripped.
The two are mentioned in the episodes 'Any Sport in a Storm' and 'Labyrinth Runners'. However, they did not interact. If they did, they might see that they have a lot in common, and possibly become friends. Their friendship happening is not unlikely, they both have similar interests. They might have met each other in the detention coven once, due to them being troublemakers. But, it was never shown or been confirmed.
In "Watching and Dreaming", the two are seen next to each other many times, Emira almost falls on Viney. In the time skip, the two are seen powering a machine that removes Coven Sigils.
Fanon[]
Vinira gained a decently major following in 2020 despite the two not interacting. It was nearly as popular as Lumity and was even the second most written Owl House ship on AO3. It is the most written ship for both characters on AO3. The hype for Vinira seems to have died down though there are still plenty of shippers. There is no hate towards this ship and its relatively popular in the fandom with people sharing posts, fanarts and such.
Most people headcanon Emira as a lesbian and prefer to ship with Viney. However, this ship usually gets overshadowed by Huntmira. Nonetheless, it still remains a popular ship for Emira and Viney. Fans believe they would get along very well. Some people headcanon that they are already friends. However, this has never been confirmed.
Many shippers theorize that Emira's decision to start multitracking in the healing coven was inspired by Viney, and that she learned healing magic from her.
The prevalence of Vinira led to the creation of another separate pairing between Edric, Emira's brother, and Jerbo, another member of the detention track, in parallel. Jerbric is commonly depicted alongside Vinira in fan works, but it hasn't gained nearly as much attraction within the fandom.
