Violena is the family ship between Violet Sabrewing and Lena Sabrewing from the DuckTales fandom.
Canon[]
Lena and Violet are both close friends with Webby Vanderquack, and it is through this friendship that they meet each other in the episode "Friendship Hates Magic!" Lena, at the time trapped in the Shadow World and connected to Webby's shadow, is initially less than thrilled when Webby and Violet meet and hit it off. She voices hopes-inaudible to anyone else-that Webby will cancel her plans with Violet, and then expresses suspicion regarding Violet. This becomes elevated when Violet bluntly asks Webby about Magica and the Shadow War, and even more so after Lena discovers that Violet is in possession of her old magical amulet.
Now believing that Violet is hoping to learn to use the same magic that Magica wielded, Lena becomes increasingly antagonistic towards her. After Violet enacts a ritual to contact the Shadow World, Lena attempts to warn Webby about the other girl with no success. However, in the process, Webby also discovers the amulet; Violet then reveals that she's fully aware of the history between Webby and Lena and offers to help use the amulet to bring Lena back. Unable to make herself heard, Lena-still believing Violet to have ulterior motives-watches as the two use the amulet in a ritual to make contact with her.
Unfortunately, just when the younger girls have succeeded, all three are then menaced by otherworldly spirits called tulpas. Lena, however, is more concerned with accusing Violet of being "A second-rate knockoff of me!" and trying to protect Webby from her. However, Violet helps Lena to see that the tulpas are in fact manifesting as a result of Lena's own feelings of jealousy regarding Webby. She also argues that whatever the differences between the two of them, they both care about what happens to Webby.
Working together, the two cast a spell to save Webby and banish the tulpas, and Lena is then returned to the real world by Violet and Webby's efforts. The three are then able to enjoy the rest of Webby and Violet's sleepover together, with Lena going so far as to address her new friend affectionately as "Vi" and team up with her to play a prank on Webby. In "Happy Birthday, Doofus Drake!", Violet and Lena-once again hanging out with Webby-are seen battling a werewolf. In "A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill!", the two attend another sleepover at Webby's, this time joined by Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Violet later helps to rescue Lena, who is being stalked in her dreams by Magica.
In "Moonvasion!", Lena and Violet are among the allies Scrooge recruits to help battle the titular attack by an army of Moonlanders. They sit next to each other at the Money Bin's conference table and later stand and charge together as Scrooge's small army prepares to charge a force of the aliens. During the battle, Lena uses her magic to assist Violet, providing her with weaponry to fight against their enemies. Later, after the Moonlanders have been defeated, the two stand together with Scrooge's victorious allies and are briefly seen speaking.
In "Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks!", Lena is revealed to have been adopted into Violet's family. She enthusiastically supports Violet during the episode's titular event and is later revealed to have coached Violet in the "art" of trash talking. After Violet completes the challenge and becomes a Senior Junior Woodchuck, Lena rushes to grab her in a hug and lives her off the ground in her enthusiasm. Lena briefly attempts to antagonize Huey, Violet's defeated opponent in the challenge, but Violet stops her.
In "The Phantom and the Sorceress!", Violet joins her friends in attempting to help Lena deal with her magic, which has been behaving erratically. When the Phantom Blot appears to menace all magic, including Lena herself, Violet is determined to stop him and protect her sister. The trio go to Magica in order for Lena to learn how to use her magic, and Violet assists with the training as much as she's able. This includes attacking Lena with magic so that Lena can master defensive abilities, though Violet does seem rather enthusiastic.
Later, Lena briefly mistakes another magical blast aimed at her as being Violet's work, but Violet is quick to disclaim responsibility as the Phantom Blot is revealed to have tracked them down. Violet quickly returns Lena's amulet to her, and later supports Lena as she attempts to use her own magic-based on friendship-to fight off the Blot. She later joins Webby in cheering Lena on after her victory, and then in celebrating when she also overcomes a repowered Magica.
In "The Split Sword of Swanstantine!", Violet and Lena are at yet another sleepover with Webby and the Duck brothers when all six of them are dragged along by Scrooge on a mission to recover the episode's titular artifact. In "How Santa Stole Christmas!", the pair are shown to share a bed at Violet's house. In "The Last Adventure!", the sisters attend Webby's birthday party at Funso's Fun Zone, with Lena watching as Violet takes on Dewey at an arcade game. The two later stand together as the guests gather to watch Webby blow out her birthday candles.
Both sisters later join in expressing support for Webby in her uncertainties over her newly discovered clones, May and June. The two are shown to be pictured on Webby's corkboard, with a thread running between the two of them and others connecting them both to Webby. When May and June mess with the board and Webby defends them to an angry Lena, Violet puts a comforting hand on her sister's arm. The two later join the mission to rescue both Webby and Huey from F.O.W.L., an evil organization housed at the ancient Library of Alexandria.
During the mission, Lena collapses after being exhausted by the use of her magic, and Violet cradles her head. When the kids split up to head into the library, the two sisters stick together and end up working together in another confrontation with the Phantom Blot.
Later, Violet and Lena join the force of Scrooge's allies in the final confrontation with F.O.W.L.'s leader, Bradford Buzzard, with Lena using her magic to levitate Violet in the air beside her. The two then both make amends with May and June and observe happily as the abandoned clones are taken in by Donald Duck. All four are later sucked out of the back of Scrooge's plane on the way back to Duckburg. However, Lena uses her magic to allow both sets of sisters to fly together safely.
