Wendip is the het ship between Dipper Pines and Wendy Corduroy from the Gravity Falls fandom.
Canon[]
Wendy works at the Mystery Shack, the tourist trap of Dipper great uncle Stan. Dipper had a crush on her for some time and seemed to befriend her some time before the series, as he's already familiar with her by the time he and Mabel arrived in Gravity Falls.
Season 1[]
In "The Inconveniencing", tired of being treated like a kid, Dipper ropes himself and Mabel into a trip to an abandoned convenience store in town with Wendy and her teen friends. Though he consistently insists that he's 13, so technically a teen, Wendy's friend Robbie dismisses him as just a kid, which in turn makes Dipper jealous of Robbie, seeing that he also wants to be with Wendy. In the inconvenience store, Wendy's friends dare Dipper to lay in the chalk outline of the former owners, only to accidentally unleash their vengeful spirits. After possessing Mabel and giving each of Wendy's friends (except of Robbie) a special kind of torture, Dipper and Wendy flee for cover and quickly figure out that, since the ghosts hate teenagers, they'd need a kid to convince them to let them go. Dipper then reveals his real age to the ghosts and agrees to put on an embarrassing dance for them in order to save Wendy, her friends and his sister. Later, while Wendy did agree that the dance was embarrassing, she was also grateful that he saved their lives.
In "Double Dipper", Dipper finally works up the courage to ask Wendy out for a dance at Stan's party. He planned everything out in advance, since the thought of Wendy ditching him in favor of Robbie terrified him. He used the photo copier that can copy human beings in order to make multiple duplicates of himself to help him act out his plan. Though on a break, Dipper discovers that just talking to Wendy is far easier than he thought, which gets him into a fight with his duplicates. After every duplicate disintegrated through water, Dipper's first clone Tyrone admits that he shouldn't overthink things with Wendy just as he melts away.
In "The Time Traveler's Pig", Dipper goes with Wendy to the fair and tries to impress her by throwing a ball at the cans, only to accidently hit Wendy in the eye instead. She doesn't mind and simply tells him to get some ice for her, but just as Dipper came back with a big bag of ice cubes, he already saw Robbie holding his ice cream cone against her eye. Robbie uses this opportunity to ask Wendy out and she simply shrugs and accepts. This frustrates Dipper so much that when he and Mabel stumble across the time traveller Blendin Blandin, they accidently take his time machine and Dipper gets the idea to use it to try and hit the cans one more time to prevent Robbie from asking Wendy out. Just as he tries to do so, he realizes that no matter what he tries, the ball always ends up in Wendy's eye and Robbie will ask her out. Only by having Mabel hold up a pipe for him just right does Dipper see some success, but as a consequence, Mabel loses her chance at winning her pet pig Waddles and falls into a summer-long depression over it. Dipper realizes just how selfish he was and allows Robbie to date Wendy so that Mabel can be happy with Waddles.
In "Boyz Crazy", Dipper witnesses Wendy listening to Robbie's new CD, only to realize that something was wrong with it and as he investigates, he realizes that the CD has a mind-controlling track over layered, which allowed Robbie to make Wendy do whatever he wants. Dipper goes to tell Wendy, who is so furious, she breaks things off with Robbie for good. But as Dipper tries to ask her to come bowling with him and Stan, she snaps at him too, teaching Dipper that he should respect Wendy's emotions and that she was in far too much distress over what happened and needed some time for herself.
Season 2[]
In "Into the Bunker", Wendy joins Dipper, Mabel and Soos on an expedition into the titular bunker, hoping to find answers about the Author of the journals. But as Dipper and Wendy thought that they found the author, it turns out that it was a shapeshifting experiment impersonating him. As the shapeshifter impersonates Wendy and Dipper got his hands on Wendy's axe, he was given a sadistic choice of having to ram the axe in one of the Wendy's. One Wendy winks at him, but the other mimes zipping up her lips and throwing the zipper away, the same gesture that the real Wendy made before they went into the bunker. Dipper then rams the axe into the Wendy who winked at him and knows that he made the right choice as he saw "Wendy" bleeding green sludge. Together they imprison the shapeshifter in an ice capsule and then leave the bunker. On a log, Dipper confesses his crush to Wendy and she admits that she always knew. She finds it "super flattering", but also says that she can't date him due to the age difference between them. She them reassures him that he's the best friend she ever had and that summers are always boring when he's not around. She then leaves a conflicted Dipper sitting on that log.
In "Weirdmageddon", Dipper and Wendy team up during Bill Cipher's reign and try to find Mabel, who is trapped in a dream bubble. They pick up Soos on the way and enter Mabel's bubble with all three of them holding onto each other. Finding "Mabelland", a land where Mabel is queen and allows other people's wishes to come true, Dipper is incredibly suspicious of Bill's machinations, but then realizes that everyone except him is happy in Mabelland and goes to lay down by himself. Wendy comes by to talk to him and tells him that in Mabelland, they could actually be together. Even the age difference wouldn't matter, since they could ask Mabel to make them the same age. And just as Dipper considers it, he sees Wendy winking at him and realizes that this whole scenario is another trick of Bill. He's proven correct when "Wendy" turns into a bunch of insects and dissolves. This convinces him to get Mabel to literally burst her bubble and set everyone free.
At the end of the summer, Wendy is at the bus station saying goodbye to Dipper and Mabel and switches hats with him so that both have something to remember each other by. She also gives him a piece of paper and tells him to open it on the way home. As he opens it, he sees signatures of all his friends in Gravity Falls with the message "See you next summer!" in the center. This makes Dipper smile.
Fanon[]
Wendip is a fairly well-liked ship in the Gravity Falls community, being the main ship for Dipper in Season 1. It is the fourth-most popular ship for Dipper, the most popular ship for Wendy and the ninth-most popular ship in the "Gravity Falls" tag.
There seem to be two camps when it comes to Wendip: Those who love the ship and say that it should've become canon, often citing Ferbnessa as another Disney ship that became canon with an even bigger age difference, and those who find Dipper's crush on Wendy adorable, but don't actively ship it because of the age difference.
Though fanfics set in the future seem to be evenly split between Wendip and Dipcifica as both characters are often depicted as Dipper's future wife, with many people justifying it by saying that 3 years won't matter when both of them are adults.
