Wiffy is the femslash ship between Buffy Summers and Willow Rosenberg from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer fandom.
Canon[]
Season 1[]
Buffy and Willow first meet on Buffy's first day at Sunnydale High. Buffy's being shown around by Cordelia Chase when they approach Willow. Cordelia immediately starts bullying her and Buffy is clearly turned off by Cordelia's mean girl behavior. She watches, concerned, as Willow takes off after being treated so harshly. Later at lunch, Buffy finds Willow eating alone and introduces herself. Buffy suggests they hang out and tells Willow she'd like her to help with getting caught up in school. Willow is ecstatic and they make quick conversation.
After being invited by Cordelia to the local club, the Bronze, Buffy arrives alone and meets Willow hanging at the bar. Willow starts a conversation about their love lives, or lack thereof. Buffy gives Willow some pointers but has to take off, letting Willow know she'll be back – to Willow's delight; she's not used to making friends. Willow takes Buffy's advice to "seize the moment" and finds herself unluckily attacked by vampires. Buffy saves her life and Willow is not only made aware of vampires but Buffy's secret life as the slayer.[1]
Buffy takes Willow and Xander to Giles who teaches them all about how vampires are real. They work together to come up with a plan to save their friend, Jesse, who has been captured. Later that day, Willow overhears Cordelia talking about Buffy behind her back and Willow defends her and sabotages Cordelia's class assignment.[2]
Willow soon proves herself invaluable to Buffy's fight against demons and vampires, exhibiting high level research and hacking skills and later on, witchcraft. They quickly grow inseparable and naturally form a demon-fighting team together with Xander and Giles.[3]

Buffy/Willow is not a super popular romantic ship but it is common. There are 380+ works on AO3. More works exist on fansites, such as Mystic Muse and in communities that predate AO3 and FF.net. It is Buffy's fifth most written ship and Willow's fourth.
