WildClem is the het ship between Wildcat and Clementine Clevenger from the TaleSpin fandom.

Canon[]

Debuting in the episode "Citizen Khan", Clementine met Wildcat after he, Baloo, and Kit were arrested by Gomer and Wendell and put on trial, in spite of the fact that Gomer had no legal authority to do so. Clementine, though she took notes for the trial, objected strenuously against Gomer's sentencing. After Wildcat was mistaken for Shere Khan, Clementine attempted to discuss the town's business with him only for them to be interrupted by Gomer, who suggested that "Mr. Khan" relax with some pool. Wildcat went along with this as part of his act and took Clementine by the arm to lead her over to the pool table.

Though a little hesitant at first, Clementine soon warmed up to Wildcat, commenting that he had defied her expectations of a ruthless businessman. Later, at Baloo's suggestion, Wildcat brought Clementine to look at the Sea Duck, putting an arm around her shoulders and addressing her as "Clem" and "Ms. Clem." Upon hearing that Wildcat was to work on the Sea Duck, Clementine was further impressed and soon began assisting Wildcat in his repair efforts. After Wildcat was taken hostage by angry mine workers Clementine was sent back into town to deliver a ransom note and was adamant that "Mr. Khan" be rescued.

When Gomer refused to give in to the miners' demands, Clementine went behind his back to make use of the town telephone to call Khan Industries headquarters and request help for "Mr. Khan", unknowingly speaking with the real Shere Khan in the process. Despite being imprisoned by Gomer, Clementine escaped from her room with a homemade rope in her ongoing efforts to help Wildcat. She soon learned that Wildcat was not, in fact, Shere Khan, but was still relieved to find that he hadn't been harmed by the miners.

After Wildcat managed to get the group out of the mine despite a collapsed entrance, Clementine had the chance to meet the real Shere Khan, who had arrived in response to her phone call. When all was said and done, Wildcat approached Clem and expressed the fear that meeting Khan would lower her opinion of him. However, Clementine would instead confess that becoming acquainted with the real Shere Khan had only increased her appreciation for Wildcat. The two held hands, then embraced, and finally shared a tender kiss as they looked into each other's eyes.

Perhaps owing to Clementine’s limited presence in the series, WildClem is something of a rarepair in the TaleSpin fandom. It is also a rarity for the series itself, being a romance that involves Wildcat rather than Baloo and/or Rebecca.

Though their relationship begins under deception, Clementine gets to know the genuine Wildcat due to his virtual inability to put on another persona. She also appreciates what she sees in Wildcat and comes to value him for himself even after learning of the ruse/misunderstanding in which he was caught up. Wildcat, for his part, is evidently quick to take a shine to Clementine and seems to appreciate her admiration. He is shy and obviously disappointed by the thought that Clementine might no longer care about him after finally meeting Shere Khan and is obviously pleased when he learns that this isn't the case.

There are currently no works tagged for the pairing on AO3.
