Wildoru is the het ship between Alex Wilder and Nico Minoru from the Marvel and Runaways fandoms.

Volume 1[]
Alex and Nico knew of each other before the start of the series due to their parents meeting up every year for a charity event for the evil organization known as the Pride. Alex did not think very highly of Nico in the years before the series' beginning, and even went as far as to call her "dorky." Alex soon changed his attitude and opinion once he saw Nico for the first time in her new goth wardrobe and contact lenses. Nico returned Alex's DVD's to him, but he was too astounded by her new gothic style. Out of supposed boredom, Alex took Nico, Chase Stein, and Gert Yorkes with him to spy on their parents. They all witnessed their parents sacrifice a young girl named Destiny Gonzales. Nico let out a horrified scream and Alex quickly had to cover her mouth to not arise suspicion. [1]
Their parents heard Nico's scream and Alex's mother, Catherine went to investigate. The kids pretended to play a game of Twister as way to fool their parents, which worked. Nico and Alex offered to help Dale Yorkes by carrying out a trunk for them with Destiny's body in it. Nico was scared that their parents knew that they saw what they did, but Alex told her they wouldn't trust them with carrying a body for them if they did. Alex later met up with Nico at the planetarium with Chase, Gert, and Karolina Dean. Alex voted that they should call the cops and which Nico agreed with. Chase rebuked that the only reason Nico sided with Alex was because she wanted to "suck face" with him, which Nico denied. They all decided to head back to the Yorkes' Residence for evidence of Destiny's body. Hurdled by the fact they couldn't get into the basement without a passcode, Alex told Nico to trust him and enter "PRIDE," which worked. It led them all to discover a dinosaur that had a telepathic connection with Gert, Old Lace. [2]
The continued to go to each of their residences, acquired Victor Stein's Fistagons and X-Ray Goggles, and Tina Minoru's Staff of One, which she infused in Nico's body. A fight broke out at the Stein Residence between the kids and Tina, Robert, Victor, and Stacey. By working together, the Runaways defeated them. Nico was still taken aback that her parents tried to attack her as they were her only family. Alex assured Nico that they would all take care of each other from that point on.

Alex devised a plan to save Molly Hayes, the youngest of their group from their parents . Nico was on board with Alex's plan, and took his advice when he said they all needed to take care of each other. They would all eventually come around to Alex's plan and all agreed to save Molly. Worried, Nico wondered if they'd make it out alive, and Alex again assured her that they had each other now. Nico and Alex talked intimately about how they're still surprised they were both still alive at that point. Nico then kissed Alex, not knowing if it'd be their last day alive. Nico advised Alex not to talk about their kiss, as it'd only ruin the moment. After a fight with Leslie Dean, Alex brought up his kiss with Nico, but Nico told Alex that it wasn't the right time. [3]
Once the PRIDE found out that their children knew about their operation, they used all of all of their influences to try and get them back and framed them for the murder of Destiny Gonzales. Chase then took them to a hideout he named the Hostel. The Runaways would continue to operate in the Hostel as their home base until they figured out a plan to stop their parents. Nico confusedly explained to the Runaways that her Staff was gone, Alex suggested that it maybe absorbed back into her body. [4]
On the run, the Runaways stopped a robbery and came across a teenager named Topher, who claimed that his parents forced him into becoming a criminal and were evil. The Runaways recruited Topher to their group, which resulted in a bit of friction between Alex and Nico's budding relationship. [5]
Trying to manipulate Nico, Topher attempted to kiss her but she initially refused, saying that there was someone else she was interested in. Topher assumed Nico was talking about Chase, which grossed her out and she corrected him and said she was talking about Alex. Topher was surprised that Nico was into Alex, and didn't see him as her type. Nico admitted that Alex wasn't her type, but they both went though unbelievable experiences together, which drew her to him. Topher again attempted to kiss Nico, which she briefly reciprocated. Alex saw Nico and Topher kiss by spying on Nico through a painting in her room. [6]

Finally facing off against their parents, Alex managed to systematically take out each one of the Runaways and obtained Chase's Fistagons and Nico's Staff. With the Runaways completely defeated, Alex revealed that he was a mole for his parents all along, and explained his plans to Nico. At first, Nico didn't believe that Alex was the traitor, believing that Alex was just lulling the PRIDE into a false sense of security before he enacted a plan to take them down. Much to Nico's dismay, Alex admitted that he was telling the truth, and had knew about his parents' activities for more than a year. Alex also confessed that he had been lying when he said he wanted to have his parents arrested, and also admitted to manipulating the Runaways only so he could possess their powerful equipment to further enact his plan. Alex told Nico that he did make a few mistakes along the way, like letting Topher join them because he was jealous of him kissing her. Alex then professed his love for Nico once again, and asked him to join him in paradise after the Gibborim reclaim the Earth. Nico, hurt and betrayed, angrily refused his offer and punched Alex. Alex quickly lost control over the situation, as Old Lace and Chase intervened to stop him. The Gibborim would soon arrive, and Alex claimed full responsibility for not doing their bidding, which resulted in his death. Alex's death devastated Nico. [10]
Volume 2[]
Since Alex's death and betrayal, Nico demonstrated willingness to forgive when she unsuccessfully tried to resurrect Alex. Nico stated that even though Alex was a traitor, he did not deserve death. [11]
Avengers Undercover[]
Nico and Alex reunite.
Nico was shocked to see Alex's return, and reminisced her past feelings for him. Nico explained that she never really got over his death, and would have gave anything to have brought him back.
While tutoring Nico, Alex hit on her several times. Alex repeatedly called Nico "hot" and "freaking sexy," while seeing Nico test out her powers. Alex's incessant flirting irritated Nico, which fueled her to daydreams about murdering him.

Nico and Alex continued their romance for three months, as they lived and shared a new apartment together in Hell Town. Nico yelled at Cullen Bloodstone to quiet down on the noise, as she and Alex were trying to have sex. Nico and Alex talked about Baron Zemo's plan and trap, and Nico angrily asked Alex to get to the point without being so smug. [14]
By the time Nico faced Hellstrom, Alex was in awe and speechless over how powerful his girlfriend had become thanks to his training. Soon after the fight ended, Alex told Nico that it was really nice to see her again after so long, and set off. Confused, Nico asked Alex what was going on, to which he replied that they couldn't just let someone out of Hell without signing a contract. Nico and Alex were separated from this point on once again. [15]
Volume 5[]
Months after Nico and Alex's separation, Nico began a romantic relationship with Karolina. Nico and Karolina's date would be interrupted by Alex, who dropped by the Hostel to see Nico, clearly shaken up. [16]

Nico, still hurt from the last time she saw Alex, was immediately hostile towards him and asked who let him out of Hell. Alex promised to tell Nico everything after they dealt with whatever was chasing him. Upset, Nico told him she would let him inside the Hostel over his dead body. Alex pleaded for Nico, Karolina, Chase, and Molly to believe him, to which Nico replied that all he ever did was lie to them. They were soon interrupted by the arrival of the Seed of Gibborim's monsters. Alex ordered Nico to call her Staff for her to blast the monster out of there. Nico refused to do what Alex's said, and replied that she didn't take orders from him. As the Runaways struggled to battle the monster, Alex led the team with ease. Alex repeatedly asked Nico to help with her Staff, which she again refused. Nico eventually cut herself on some broken glass due to the hectic battle, and summoned her Staff. When Alex saw that Nico had done as he asked, he said he knew that she wouldn't let him down. Alex again told Nico to do her thing, and to cast the monster into the ocean, but Nico once again refused. Frustrated, Alex asked Nico why she wouldn't listen to him, to which she again replied that she didn't take orders from him, and that she ran out of teleportation spells. Alex insisted that Nico do something to help their friends. That comment angered Nico, as she told him that they were her friends, not his.

With time running out, Chase gathered the Runaways to formulate a plan to get out of their situation. Alex, who was uninvited, joined them in agreement. Gert angrily questioned if Alex had found a way to sell them out yet. Alex said that he didn't want history to repeat itself and that he lost everything when he last faced the Gibborim. Nico then brought up the time she and Alex spent together in Hell Town, and said that when she last trusted him he tricked her into wasting dozens of spells. Alex replied that he wasn't tricking Nico, and that she needed combat experience, and still did. Nico told Alex that every spell she cast in his training arena was a spell she couldn't cast in a "real battle," and said she couldn't believe she listened to him. Alex insisted that he was trying to help Nico, and for her to push past all of her insecurities and artificial limitations. Nico snapped that they weren't artificial limitations, but were actual limitations. Upset, Nico stormed off, saying that she regretted all the time she spent with Alex and didn't need any more regrets, which Alex was saddened to hear. [19]

With Christmas approaching, the Runaways wanted to celebrate even though they knew their time was limited on what to do with the Seed of Gibborim. Nico casted a spell to fill the Hostel with Christmas presents, decorations, and food. Nico noticed that Karolina felt off about something, and asked her if the food was a problem since she was vegan. Karolina replied that families usually set aside their differences on Christmas, referring to Alex. Chase went to invite Alex to eat dinner with them. Alex joined them, in disbelief that the Runaways were going to seemingly do nothing to deal with the imminent threat. Nico told Alex not to start, since they just wanted to enjoy Christmas. Alex responded by saying that they only had two days to figure out their next move and he figured it was time they all actually listened to what he had to say. Nico barked that no one cared what Alex had to say. Alex again stated that there was a way to defeat the Seed of Gibborim and Nico angrily insisted that they were not going to listen to him. Molly and Doombot however, wanted Alex to say what his plan was. Alex explained that if they killed one of the Gibborim's children, it would grant all of them power, thus the Gibborim would be dealt with. Nico retorted that she knew Alex's plan would come back to him and his quest for power. Alex snapped that he was talking about saving the world, whereas Nico saw it as Alex trying to make himself a god. Alex again clarified that all of them would be granted power, and not just him. Nico asked Alex if they just had to kill a god, Alex responded by saying that they kill Gib, since he had been monitoring them. [20]

As the day approached to meet the Seed of Gibborim's demands, the Runaways still contemplated on what to do. Nico was surprised to learn that Karolina wanted to do Alex's plan. Karolina acknowledged that if they did Alex's plan they'd have a chance to win. Approached by Alex in their room, Nico decided to do his plan and asked what it was going to take. Alex said that it'd need the six of them united, and a dagger to sacrifice one of the gods. Chase was still adamant on not trusting Alex, and asked how Alex got the Runaways to all agree with him. Nico replied that Alex's plan was their only option. Things went awry as Gib defected from his siblings, which caused the Runaways to abandon Alex's plan and just fight until they win. The Seed of Gibborim all defeated the Runaways with ease, and with no other option left, Alex attempted to sacrifice Victor to save his friends and the rest of the world. [21]

Reunion[]
Alex confesses to Nico that he truly misses her.
Similarly to the comics, Alex and Nico knew of each other since childhood, but have had longtime feelings since childhood for each other. Their crushes on each other were obvious to Nico's older sister Amy, who actually encouraged Alex to ask her Nico out. When Amy died, Nico and Alex, along with Chase, Gert, Molly, and Karolina all drifted apart. Two years after Amy's death, Alex became desperate to reunite with his old friends, and tried to do so at the school that they all attended; Atlas Academy. Alex attempted to invite them for a party at his house, but they all declined.
Alex went to Nico, and tried to speak with her. Alex confessed to her that while he missed having his friends together, he truly missed Nico the most. Nico shrugged off Alex's attempt to get through to her, and ran off to a bathroom to sob. Later that night, Nico attempted to conjure Amy back to life with Wiccan spells on a beach, but failed.

Later at the Wilder Residence, Alex was surprised to see all of his former friends attend his party, and was even happier when Nico showed up. Nico asked Alex why he didn't attend Amy's funeral, but quickly dismissed the topic and thanked him for throwing the party specifically for her. The kids later discovered their parents' lair. and witness them murder a runaway named Destiny Gonzalez. Upon seeing this, they all quickly fled the scene.
Rewind
Alex comforts Nico; promising her that she isn't alone.
After the kids all escaped from the lair, they pretended to play a game of Twister to fool their parents. Nico felt distraught from what she just witnessed her parents do, went to the restroom to cry. Alex subsequently joined her and sat beside her. Nico explained that she didn't want to go home because she was afraid of her parents, and because she didn't want to be alone. Alex caressed her hand, promising her that she wasn't alone and that she had him. When the two emerged from the bathroom, Geoffrey Wilder commented on how he sensed some "sparks" between Alex and Nico.
Destiny[]
The next day, Nico and Alex met at the beach with their four other former friends to discuss what happened when they witnessed their parents' ritual. Later that night, Nico convinced her parents to go out so she could take her mother's artifact, the Staff of One. While looking at a snowflake found in Amy's diary, snow began to fall within the Minoru home.

Nico quickly called Alex, saying she needed a “nerd,” and they tried to examine the Staff of One together. Wizey, the Minoru's home A.I, informed them that Nico's parents were on the way home, which led Nico and Alex to frantically clean up all of the snow together.
After they cleaned up all of the snow, Nico and Alex rushed into Nico's room when Tina arrived home. Nico began to undress herself in front of Alex. Nico shoved Alex onto her bed and straddled him, pretending to have sex for Tina to see.

Tina deduced that the real reason Nico wanted them to go out was so she could have Alex over, and promptly sent Alex away. Nico walked Alex out of her house to his car. Alex voiced to Nico felt happy that out of everyone she could've called, she called him. Nico tried to deflect this, and resorted to saying again that she needed a “nerd.”
Alex leaned down and kissed Nico, which she enjoyed. Nico acted surprised at Alex kissing her, saying that what happened in the house wasn't real and was just an act. Alex smiled, and knowingly replied "was it?" Alex departed from Nico, but not before saying "Later, Hermione." Once Alex left, Nico began grinning goofily that her longtime crush just kissed her.
Fifteen[]
Nico smiles at Alex, realizing that she'll never be alone as long as she has him.
The day afterwards, Nico read Amy's diary and concluded that there was no possible way she committed suicide and that her parents sacrificed her. Nico told Alex that she was going to the police station to confess the crimes she witnessed her parents do, and asked him to come with her. Alex denied her invitation, and Nico then decided to go by herself. When Nico arrived at the police station, to her surprise Alex was there to join her. Alex told Nico that he wasn't not going to let her do this alone. Nico smiled, and she and Alex hold hands.
Nico and Alex realized that their confession was useless due to their parents having cops in their pocket, so they fled from the station. Nico and Alex discussed how big the PRIDE situation had gotten. Alex then showed Nico the gun he stole from his father's desk; saying that they had to protect themselves.

Nico became suspicious when she realized Alex was taking longer than usual to get back to her, so she went in the parking garage to see where Alex went. Nico then witnessed Alex getting kidnapped by Darius Davis. Panicked, Nico told Karolina over the phone that someone kidnapped Alex.

Their celebrated victory would be cut short however, as they all rushed to Alex's house to prevent another sacrifice, but soon realized they were too late. Alex stormed off into his bedroom, upset that they couldn't save the Andre from his parents. Alex sat on his bed, and saw Nico enter his room. Nico sat beside Alex, and he confessed that he felt responsible because he shot Andre. Alex continued to blame himself, feeling even more guilty that he essentially helped his father go through with another murder.
Nico grabbed Alex's hand, and forced him to sit back on his bed. Nico comforted Alex, and told him that although their parents were committing these horrible acts, that at the end of the day they were still their parents. Nico held Alex's hand tightly, nervously chuckling while she admitted how worried she was about him.

Nico quickly got off of Alex's lap as Karolina explained that Chase found a hidden camera in the library, which all three of them head to quickly. Alex discovered that the video files were stored in Nico's parents company, Wizard. Nico was adamant on trying to get those files so they could expose their parents. Nico and Alex officially began dating from this point on.
Metamorphosis[]

Nico and Alex met up with the rest of the kids in the limo on the way to the gala. Nico cuddled into Alex's arms for the whole ride, genuinely feeling happy with her boyfriend.
Nico, Alex and Gert teamed up under the codename Operation Tina Server Room. Nico and Alex asked Gert to go flirt with the security guard as a distraction, and were left bewildered when Gert's opening line was "cockroaches."

Nico and Alex successfully got into the server room. Upon arrival, Alex quoted something from the Tron film series, which left Nico confused. Nico wasn't surprised to see her boyfriend geek out over being in the server room, and asked him which computer out of the many should they start with. Alex asked Nico if she really wanted to know how a hypervisor delineates between a physical server and a virtual one, which was another thing that left Nico perplexed. Alex thought the thought of Nico knowing something that smart would be kind of hot. Alex unsuccessfully tried to port into the servers, and Nico proposed they go into her mother's office. Nico tried to use her Wizard keycard to enter the office but it proved unsuccessful. That allowed to Alex type in the right password with ease. Nico asked Alex how he guessed her mom's passcode, and Alex simply replied that "he was just that good," which Nico didn't buy into at all.

Alex was granted access to the video, but it needed time to decrypt. Things went a little awry when Tina showed up to her office, and Alex and Nico were forced to hide. Tina sobbed, and Nico attempted to get up and comfort her, but was stopped by Alex who gestured her to stay down. Nico dropped a tear, since she had never seen her seemingly cold mother cry like that before. Nico again asked Alex what her mom's passcode was; in which Alex lied and again told her it was "password." Nico became fully suspicious of Alex from that point onward.

The next day at Atlas Academy, Nico took a stroll with Alex and told him that her dad was moving out of the house, Alex offered his condolences and said she could ask him for anything. Nico then asked again about her mother's password, and asked Alex to stop lying to her about it. Before Alex could say anything, Chase and Karolina interrupted them.
Tsunami[]

Later that night, Alex was met by his girlfriend at Timely Coffee, and she once again demanded for him to tell her the truth. Alex affirmed once again that he just guessed the passcode, but Nico interjected saying that she knew that he knew her password beforehand. Beat, Alex slowly started to tell her the truth, and promised to tell Nico everything he knew regarding Amy and her mother. Nico, heartbroken that Alex would lie to her, stormed off once she heard the truth.
Alex stopped her and admitted he was the one who should've done better regarding Amy's passing. Nico demanded Alex to tell her the rest of the story. Alex told Nico that Amy had hacked into Wizard Servers, and that he made a promise to keep Amy's secret. Amy would later get killed as she found out pivotal information about the PRIDE that could land them all in jail. Alex admitted to Nico that he was wrong to keep these things from her, and that he wanted to do better and to be better in the future. Alex said that he just couldn't tell Nico the truth, and that the few times he tried reaching out to her, he was scared since Nico had a massive personality shift when Amy had died. Alex confessed to Nico that he was scared that she would never forgive him, because losing her forever would be would be like another death. Nico decided to investigate more into the mystery behind her sister's death, only this time, she was going to do it without Alex. Nico called off her relationship with Alex, and broke up with him. Alex called Nico, and stressed he couldn't apologize enough and that he just wanted to talk. While this occurred, Alex fully decoded the video file of the PRIDE's sacrifice.

Nico met up with Alex at Timely Coffee again, and told Alex that she found Amy's phone. The rest of their friends met up with Alex, with Chase and Karolina both agreeing that they shouldn't release the video of PRIDE. Alex, Nico, and Gert disagreed. Alex insisted that they were going to all go through with the plan, even if all of them weren't on the same page. Angered, Chase attacked Alex and they quickly got into a scuffle. Nico desperately tried to stop Chase and Alex from fighting, but was restrained by Karolina. Chase managed to destroy Alex's laptop and the evidence, which greatly upset the rest of the group.
Doomsday[]
Nico and Alex discover that Amy was murdered.
As the next day of school came, the group all decided to go to the school dance, but only as a coverup to trick their parents as to what they were really doing. Nico called Alex from Amy's phone, and they both found out that Amy never committed suicide, but was murdered. Nico's father Robert interrupted, and told Nico and Alex that they had to take pictures of them together before they head off to the dance. Alex complimented Nico, and said she looked great. Nico hadn't forgave Alex, and told him she didn't care what he thought of her anymore. At the dance, Nico, Alex, Karolina, and Molly all waited in their car and wondered where Gert and Chase were. Impatient, Nico decided to go look for them. Alex asked if she wanted some company, but out of spite Nico invited Karolina to accompany her instead. Nico and Karolina would later share a kiss at the dance, which made Nico fall in love with her.
Hostile[]

When the Runaways arrived at the PRIDE's dig site, they soon faced off against them. Jonah then showed up to the dig site and overpowered all of them. Karolina decided to sacrifice herself in order to let her friends get away. The Runaways barely escaped, and they recovered on top of a mountain to debrief the situation. Alex and Chase agreed that it's best to get out of town since their parents now knew that they knew everything. Nico disagreed and wanted to rescue Karolina. Molly and Gert agreed with Nico's plan. Though reluctant at first, Alex and Chase eventually listened to Nico's pleas to save Karolina.

After successfully rescuing Karolina, the Runaways all situated themselves back on the mountain. Alex looked off into the distance of the city, with Nico joining him. Nico and Alex shared a brief a quiet moment together. Alex asked Nico how long she'd think it'd be for him to walk back home, but she responded that they were never going back home. Alex then asked Nico if she would ever call her parents, but she replied that she wouldn't have anything to say to them. Alex decided to call Darius (who still had a grudge against his father) and he proposed that they'd work together so that Alex could get a gun and money for him to skip town with his friends. Darius agreed to this partnership just so long as Alex would tell him everything about his super-powered friends.

Alex later returned to the mountain, and Nico met him in the early hours of the morning. Nico asked where Alex went, and he simply replied that he just had to make a call. At the bus stop, the Runaways saw warrants from the LAPD to bring them in for the murder of Destiny Gonzalez, and realized that their parents had framed them. Since they couldn't board the bus out of town, they all ran away.
Season 2[]
Gimme Shelter[]

Twenty-four hours of officially being on the run, the Runaways struggled with the harsh reality of homelessness. Alex's leadership was questioned by all of the Runaways, including Nico. The Runaways soon found a PRIDE food shelter for the homeless, and quickly ate whatever food was served. While eating, they all decided to come up with what their plan would be. Molly suggested that they should hide in tents, to which Chase replied that they couldn't since Alex lost the money he got from Darius. Alex reminded them that he was the one who got the money for them in the first place, and that they should show him more gratitude. Nico added that if Alex told them where he got the money, they would trust him more. Alex refused to disclose where he got the money, and affirmed that it's for Nico's and the groups protection. Nico questioned if Alex got the money from his parents, and Alex questioned if they all thought he was a mole for his parents. Chase also pointed out that Alex didn't originally want to save Karolina, due to jealousy of her and Nico getting together. Alex rebuffed this, and stated that he didn't even know Nico and Karolina were together at the time, and that he was still trying to process that information.
Alex departed from the PRIDE food shelter and told the Runaways that he would meet them at a homeless encampment later. Nico asked where Alex was going, but he refused to tell her, and once again affirmed that she had to trust him.
Alex met up with the Runaways later at the encampment and provided them with tents, sleeping bags, and burner cellphones. Impressed, Nico asked if Alex paid for all of their equipment to which he replied that some of it was on sale. After a stressful chase with a man who stole Chase's Fistagons, Karolina accidentally found an underground mansion, the Hostel, which the Runaways would then use as their operating base and new home.

Chase and Gert both got into a dispute with Alex, which Molly put an end to and demanded that Alex tell them the truth, otherwise they'd be just like their parents. Alex immediately came clean to the group, and told them he had been working with Darius. The Runaways all disagreed with Alex's decision to work with Darius, but Alex retorted that he told them the truth and that he should be on his way. Alex departed from the Hostel, and ignored Nico calling out his name.
Double Zeroes[]
Because of their strained relationship, Nico had Alex's contact name on her burner phone listed as "asshole." While Alex had Nico's name as "not the one." During Alex's absence from the Runaways, Nico stepped up as a leader of the Runaways, and made them get up early to learn how to use their powers effectively together. Meanwhile, Alex's relationship with Darius's cousin Livvie deepened. While training, Chase reminisced on how Coach Alphona always had a game plan, and Molly responded that making plans were always Alex's job. Nico told them both that Alex wasn't here, and that there was zero correlation between Alex and them "sucking" without his leadership. Molly then brought up that although Alex might not of had superpowers, he brought something to a table. Nico retorted that Alex only brought a "nerd brain" to the team.
Alex quickly calls Nico in secret.
Chase suggested Alex's "nerd brain," could help her with the Staff of One. Nico stated firmly that she didn't need Alex's help, or anything else from him, and that he chose to be off the team. Karolina explained to Nico that they were all a family, and without Alex the Runaways weren't whole.
Concurrently, Darius picked up Alex for a supposed job, who unknowingly didn't realize that Darius was taking him to Geoffrey. When Alex realized he had been set up, it was already too late and he begrudgingly reunited with Geoffrey. Geoffrey and Alex talked while on the way to the airport, and Alex quickly speed dialed Nico on his secret burner phone.
Nico picked up Alex's call and promptly heard Geoffrey and Alex speaking on the other line about the airport, and quickly realized that Alex had been kidnapped. Nico informed the Runaways of Alex's kidnapping, and declared that they had to stop Geoffrey.
Chase commented on Nico's 180 attitude about Alex, when a few hours ago it seemed like she wanted nothing to do with him. Nico affirmed that while she still thought Alex sucked, he needed their help. Karolina told Nico that it was okay to admit that she still cared about Alex, and the rest of the group talked about how much they actually missed him. Nico admitted that she had issues talking about her feelings for Alex, and just generally talking about her feelings in the first place. Nico and the rest of the Runaways voted that they get Alex back. The Runaways all arrived at the airport to successfully rescue Alex. Nico casted a spell to stop Geoffrey from following them.
Nico arrives in Alex's room. and they share an intimate moment.
Back safe and sound in his room at the Hostel, Alex listened to the radio and learned that his parents killed Darius and framed him of the murder of Destiny Gonzalez; therefore no longer making the Runaways fugitives. Nico stopped by Alex's room, and offered her condolences to Alex for losing his friend. Alex replied that he wasn't so sure Darius was his friend, but Nico assured him that she still was his friend. Nico, with an old game console in her hands, asked Alex if they can play games together, like him and Amy used to.
Alex chuckled, asking her if she found any good games. Nico read to Alex the the label of the game, "Street Fighter II." Alex jumped up with excitement, and exclaimed that Street Fighter was a classic.
Alex tells Nico that she was his number one on speed dial.
Nico sat on Alex's bed, and asked why Alex called her when her of all people when he was kidnapped. Alex told Nico that she was his number one on speed dial. Nico nodded her head and grinned slightly. Alex handed Nico a controller, and he sat right beside her. Alex told Nico that if her and him playing video games together was all they had for the rest of their lives, he would be good with that. Alex then assured Nico that they had each other. Nico locked eyes with Alex for a moment, and smiled widely when he raved about Chun Li's skills. Nico chose Chun Li as her fighter, and told Alex he could be Blanka as they had the same hair, Alex obliged, which made Nico smile.
Nico and Alex continue to play video games, officially patching their relationship.
Old School[]
When Alex discussed the plan to take down the Pride, Nico noted that Alex put his hair back.
Rock Bottom[]
When Chase asked Alex if he envisioned himself ending up with Nico or Livvie, he jokingly replied that his new computer was his girlfriend now.
Bury Another[]
Nico teases Alex, and inches her face closer to him.
Alex said that if he told Nico his plan, it would become her plan, and he liked being needed by his friends. Nico said that being a leader wasn't her strong suit lately, and asked Alex to tag in and help her anytime. Alex expressed to Nico that leaders had to make unpopular decisions, and that Nico was right about Topher. Nico wondered and asked Alex how she was ever going to ever make it up to Molly after what she did to Topher.
Alex makes Nico flush.
Karolina asks Alex for advice about his former girlfriend. Alex explains that him being untruthful led him to losing Nico.
Feeling guilty that she knew of details that could lead to them breaking up, Karolina snapped at Nico. Karolina then went to ask Alex for advice about Nico. Karolina addressed that she knew how much Alex liked her, and was the only other person who had experience "dealing" with Nico. Alex corrected Karolina, meaning "disappointing" Nico rather than "dealing" with her. Karolina brought up how Alex kept things from Nico about Amy, and asked him if he wished he told the truth from the beginning or hadn't at all. Alex paused for a moment, and asked Karolina if she herself was keeping something from Nico, which made Karolina uncomfortable. Alex advised Karolina that when it came to Nico, you don't mess with Amy. Alex reflected on how his untruth led him to losing Nico. Karolina later took Alex's advice, and told Nico the truth regarding Amy's death.
Last Rites
Alex watches Nico emerge from the hole, smiling as he notes that the "Wicked Witch of the West" always was his favorite.
When Karolina admitted the truth that she had been seeing Jonah (who murdered Nico's sister, Amy) and was lying to the group about what she's been up to the entire time, Alex voted for her to stay behind while they handled their parents. Nico agreed with Alex, and declared that Karolina was a traitor that betrayed all of them, and her staying behind in the mission was a risk she was willing to take.
At the PRIDE dig site, Nico's life was endangered by nearly getting trapped within the hole, but she triumphantly emerged from the it, which made Alex smile, remarking that "the Wicked Witch of the West" always was his favorite.
Past Life[]
Both of Alex's love interests, Livvie and Nico meet each other for the first time.
When Alex assigned his friends to help out Livvie, she and Nico met for the first time. In the honeymoon suite, Nico (due to her recent break up with Karolina) said to Alex that she couldn't handle being around the love filled room. Alex understood, and Nico departed from the room. Livvie looked at Alex, and was in disbelief that Nico was actually Alex's ex-girlfriend.
Big Shot[]
When Livvie told the Runaways that Alex had been lying to them and made a deal with AWOL, Nico reminded Alex that if he hadn't been concerned with himself he would know what's going on with Old Lace. All of the Runaways continued to bombard Alex, but he snapped back at them. Alex reminded them that they were no better than him, and pointed out that Nico killing Jonah was a lot worse than him making a deal with a criminal to put their parents in jail. Alex stormed out of the Hostel and labeled all of his friends as hypocrites.
Hostile Takeover[]
Alex places his hand on Nico, offering her slight comfort.
Tensions ran high as AWOL held Livvie captive outside of the Hostel. Nico casted a spell to keep AWOL and his gang out, but it was increasingly taxing on her body to hold the spell for a long period of time. Alex stated that AWOL's fight was with him, but Nico told him to stay put, as she didn't want them to kill Alex. Thinking rationally and not emotionally, Alex came up with a plan that Nico fully supported. Alex ordered AWOL to tell his men to stop ramming the entrances of the Hostel so Nico could stop holding the spell. Alex gave the command for Nico to stop holding the spell, and she dropped it.
Nico and Alex ducked under cover to prepare for the invasion, and Alex placed his hand on Nico's arm to offer her a slight bit of comfort. When Alex gave Nico the call to cast the spell to banish all of their guns, Nico (who was exhausted) immediately fainted. This left Alex and Karolina to face off against AWOL together, while carrying Nico to safety. Tapping into the Dark Dimension, Nico regained her strength and summoned the Staff of One. Nico casted a spell and ordered AWOL and his crew to "get out," which saved the group. Livvie would then call off her relationship with Alex, as she felt they both had families to protect.
Last Waltz[]
While gathering the music to celebrate Molly's birthday, Alex asked if they were going to dance to the music that they were buying. Nico sarcastically replied that music was what people traditionally dance to. Alex said to Nico that he didn't dance and that he'd do a "little light flossing in the least, but nothing public." Nico, perplexed, asked Alex if that meant he flosses in private. Alex didn't respond to Nico's question.
Earth Angel[]
Nico meets Alex in his room.
Nico arrived in Alex's room, and told him that they had a house meeting in five minutes. Nico, Alex, Gert, and Molly all discussed Chase's betrayal when he chose to side with his parents.
Later on in the episode when Karolina, Nico, and Molly rescued Karolina's mother Leslie, Nico assured Alex that Leslie was a Runaway now and that she would stay in the Hostel. Alex didn't take this new development too kindly, as he wanted to lock all of the parents away and not have them join them.
Split Up[]
Alex comforts Nico, assuring her again that they have each other.
When Chase showed up to the Runaways with an offer from their parents to surrender, Nico and Alex in unison agreed to pass on the offer, as did the other Runaways. Chase informed Tina that they didn't accept the offer, and she immediately initiated an attack on the Runaways with superpowered drones that combatted all of their abilities. One of the drones scrambled Nico's speech pattern, and when Alex ordered her to cast a spell, she couldn't as her words were all jumbled. Alex advised all of the Runaways to split up.
While split up, Nico and Alex both defeated their parents. They both soon met up at the Hostel with Molly. Nico and Molly become distressed as Karolina and Gert didn't show up, and expressed how their regret in having split up in the first place. Alex comforted Nico, and told her that they were going to figure it out. Alex would then assure Nico once again that they had each other.

Wildoru is considered a rare pairing in the Runaways fandom, mostly due to the fact that Alex betrayed the team in the comics. The pairing did pick up more traction once the TV series came out, since Alex got a complete overhaul in his motivations, personality, and his relationship with Nico was portrayed in a healthier way compared to their comic counterparts. Despite the ship having more of an audience than it used to, it still remains unpopular due to Nico's most popular ship being Deanoru.
There are currently over 15 works for this pairing on AO3, but the last fic written for them was posted in 2022.
