WillEmz is the femslash ship between Willow and Emz from the Brawl Stars fandom.
Canon[]
Emz and Willow are young-looking female playable characters in Brawl Stars and, depending on the player's choices, can face off or cooperate in online modes. They don't interact directly in the game. However, in Willow's intro animation, she appears on top of a gongola attending to Emz and Poco. At first, Willow entertains and makes the couple laugh using her flashlight, although their happiness ends when the amphibian girl releases a pink tadpole surrounding her flashlight above their heads so she can manipulate their movements and then proceed to attack Edgar who was watching the show from behind them as she leaves the place laughing in mockery. Some time later, Angelo's animated introduction video was released where he provokes a fight between Emz, Poco and Colt, which causes laughter and joy in Willow when she sees the situation.
Despite their few interactions, they share several similarities. Both are women in charge of their own businesses: Emz sells her brand of hairspray online and Willow is the gondolier and guardian of the Tunnel of Love in Starr Park. They are part of a species of monster where Emz is a zombie while Willow is a half-humanoid green amphibian. Furthermore, they both have fangs in their teeth. In their voice lines, they show disinterest in the well-being of the other and instead show desires to harm or cause harm to them. In the game, they are controller class characters with moderate health, slow reload speed, and normal movement speed.
They also have differences. Although her voice lines showed bad intentions, Willow is much more sadistic than Emz due to peculiarly enjoying the suffering of enemies/clients/partners to the point of making them cry. In the game, they both belong to different fighter qualities: Emz is epic quality and Willow is mythic. Likewise, the attack range is normal for Emz and long for Willow.

WillEmz's creation is strongly related to Mortlow since weeks before February 25, 2023, the date of Brawl Talk, official promotional arts were released on the game's social networks where Mortis appears with a love letter in his hands from an unknown swamp creature that generated theories about a new fighter or that someone within the game had romantic feelings towards him. When the date arrived, an animation was revealed showing Willow as one of the new playable characters. From that presentation video, a small fan base of the ship between Emz and Willow was formed on social networks such as Twitter and TikTok, predominantly Spanish and Russian speaking. Nevertheless, it was always overshadowed by Mortlow and Pomz. For this reason, it is considered a rare ship in the Brawl Stars fandom.
Part of the community that couples them romantically does so because it is fun for them to imagine and raise the idea that Willow, upon being rejected by Mortis, begins a romance with his niece. As time goes by, the concept mentioned above is a common scenario in fanfics. It is also common to include their ships with Mortis and Poco as the starting point of the conflict where Poco breaks up with Emz and Mortis breaks Willow's heart. Consequently, they both find comfort in each other and slowly fall in love.
Despite having a fan base, WillEmz is a somewhat controversial couple due to the age debate between them. On the one hand, haters believe that Emz is a teenager or too young-looking person to be in a romantic relationship with Willow, who appears to be a young adult. On the other hand, fans defend the ship by arguing that both brawlers don't have confirmed ages. Moreover, they believe that Emz, who is a zombie, is dead and that she is in a similar situation to that of Mortis and Frank because the three of them would have been dead for hundreds of years. Finally, another sector pairs them up because they don't like any of their other ships, thinking they both look nice together.
