Willara is the het ship between William Afton and Mrs. Afton from the Five Nights at Freddy's fandom.

William's son Michael upon finishing a shift at his father's abandoned facility, goes home each night to consistently tune into the soap opera "The Immortal and the Restless", a show that focuses on the marriage struggles between a purple-wearing undead father named Vlad and his human wife named Clara. Each episode consists of the two arguing over whether Vlad is the legitimate father of her infant son with it eventually becoming a common punchline each episode how comedically obvious it is that Clara's son is a vampire like Vlad to which he still sheepishly denies at every corner despite it becoming even more glaringly irrefutable. In the fake ending of the game, the player is rewarded with the season finale of the show in which the couple finally reconcile and then kiss. It's a fairly common headcanon amongst fans that this show represents the struggling relationship between William and his wife due to the parallels shared between Vlad and William with both men being two undead beings who behave coldly towards their also similarly undead sons. Interestingly enough, Vlad's early concept art still featured him in William's signature colour despite being a heavily different look compared to the finished product, suggesting purple had been a very crucial factor to Vlad's design. As Michael's relationship with his father is emphasised in Sister Location particularly, some think it's too much of a coincidence for a show's focus on the bickering between a husband and wife that remains entirely centered around their son to not be a metaphor for what Michael as the viewer of this show experienced similarly with his parents.
Security Breach[]
In the game Security Breach, a secret that the player can discover is the mysterious display of five deactivated Staff Botts eerily standing alone around a wooden table. It's widely agreed upon that the meaning behind this addition is that each individual at the table is meant to serve as a representation to a member of The Afton Family. One robot has an undeniably close resemblance to Elizabeth Afton through the heavy visible similarities it shares with the Baby Animatronic she would eventually find herself possessing, with another robot uniquely missing it's head which would point to it being a representation of The Crying Child who's head had been crushed in between the jaws of the Fredbear Animatronic. Using this logic, the robot displayed at the very head of the table would now represent what could only be the stand-in for Mrs. Afton, who interestingly enough seems to resemble Ballora. This inclusion fuelled the theory that William purposefully created Ballora to be reminiscent of his wife, likely reflecting his known eventual disconnect from humanity as a result from his descent into madness.
As the live action Five Nights at Freddy's film had Vanessa be revealed as the daughter of William, some have suggested taking a closer look at Vanessa's game incarnation could reveal some answers behind the relationship between William and his wife now that a familial connection has been established between him and Vanessa in a separate narrative. Considering the release of Special Delivery established her last name began with an A and her therapy recordings in Security Breach regarding her childhood which refer to her father as a man named "Bill", a nickname for William, the abundant similarities between William A and William Afton does certainly seem to imply some form of allegory between the two. In her therapy tapes, Vanessa recounts her parents divorcing which resulted in a custody battle and being threatened by her father into testifying against her mother which assured him of sole custody. This then resulted with the implication that Vanessa's mother seemingly ended her own life. While it's still left up to interpretation what the connection between Afton and Vanessa's own father truly represents, some do believe that what occurred between Vanessa's parents may identically mirror what inevitably happened between Mrs. Afton and her husband but instead with Michael being manipulated by William instead of Vanessa with her father.
Fanon[]
Despite Mrs. Afton admittedly not being much of a relevant character within the FNAF storyline as a whole, Willara remains to be a fairly popular ship regardless. This is mainly due to how incredibly significant The Afton Family became in the franchise with it adding a level of intrigue on what the presumed mother of the family was like as a result and what had happened to her, with some speculating her to have possibly died or to have left William early on before the events of the games leaving him primarily as a single father for the duration of his life.
It's rival ship is considered to be Willry with some fans enjoying both simultaneously due to it being a common headcanon that William was interested in both, while BalloraTrap is also seen as somewhat of a rival despite a handful of people considering Ballora and William's wife to be the same.

- The Ballora is possessed by Mrs. Afton theory was one of the only theories that Scott had outright debunked by an article stating that the Ballora is one of the animatronics that are not possessed.[citation needed]
