Wongsker is the het ship between Ada Wong and Albert Wesker from the Resident Evil fandom.

Canon

In the mid-1990s, Ada had gained a position within a powerful Chinese-American crime gang. This organization had major success for their ruthless elimination of their competitors. However the resulting power vacuum quickly drew the attention of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which shut down their operations and left Ada on the run. Having seen her potential arrest by the authorities as a “waste of talent,” Ada was approached by Wesker, who sought to recruit her to the also powerful bioweapons corporation known as “the Organization,” which had been on the lookout for top-quality agents. The Organization initially questioned Ada’s loyalty due to her duplicitous nature and refusal to reveal her true identity, though with Wesker’s endorsement had come to the conclusion that she would be an ideal fit for the job.

In September 1998, the Organization shifted focused on obtaining a sample of Dr. William Birkin’s experimental Golgotha Virus. Ada, along with another agent, were sent into Raccoon City to recover this virus. Ada’s mission was headed by Wesker, himself a former Umbrella researcher who was now in debt to the Organization. Early into the night, Ada encounters rookie police officer Leon Kennedy being the only uninfected survivor left. To protect her mission, Ada uses a cover. Throughout the night, Ada continues her mission, searching for NEST while working alongside Leon, who is looking for a way out of the dying city.

Ada initially fails at obtaining Birkin’s Golgotha Virus and it’s recovered by Leon, disappointing Wesker. NEST is placed into self-destruct and Ada is forced to escape on her own. Though she had no time to find another Golgotha sample, she is successful in escaping with a tissue fragment shed from Birkin’s body, following his death.

Ada arrives at her rendezvous with Wesker watching from a webcam. Wesker expresses his disappointment in her and about her failure in the mission. He likely had access to the NEST feed as he knew of Leon and how Ada helped him, and was prepared to let her perish in its destuction. Ultimately her possession of Birkin’s tissue fragment saved her and Wesker warned her that the city was soon to be destroyed in a missile attack. While suspicious of Wesker’s motives for saving her, she follows his instructions. Using her hookshot as her only means of escape, Ada attaches herself to an Umbrella helicopter leaving the city.

Following the Raccoon City incident, Ada and Wesker would operate separately for some years, with their paths crossing on numerous occasions as both ally and enemy, despite both being employed by the Organization.

Fanon

Wongsker is a small ship within the Resident Evil fandom. Ada and Wesker themselves are primarily shipped with other characters of the series; Aeon is Ada’s juggernaut ship, while Chrisker is Wesker’s. Those who do ship Wongsker tend to not necessarily ship them romantically, but rather they prefer them as a hook up.

On AO3, Wongsker has 40+ works in its romantic/het tag, and 10+ in its platonic/general tag.
