Season 7[]

LIASIONS

Worf is attempting to put his sash over his formal uniform when there is a ring at his door. Worf angrily tells the person to enter, and Riker enters the room. He says that the dignitaries will be arriving any minute, and Worf says that he's having some trouble. Riker says that if he didn't know him he'd assume Worf was procrastinating, but Worf says that Klingon's don't do that. They have tactical delays. Riker points out that Worf only needs to deal with the dignitaries for an hour, while he has to deal with them for three days. Worf says that he hates diplomatic situations, and Riker says that it's all part of being in Starfleet. He fixes Worfs sash for him, and Worf comments on his dislike of the formal uniform. Riker says that it's protocol and Worf says they look like dresses. Riker says that's sexist and outdated, being surprised at Worf. He starts to walk away before turning back and saying that Worf looks good in a dress anyways. Worf looks taken aback, while Riker smirks and the two head to the cargo bay.

Surrender[]

Riker attempts to get ahold of the Titan, but there's no response. Worf points out that shields are up and comms are down, and Riker realizes that the ship has been taken over. The alarm goes off and Worf tells them that they've noticed their escape, all heading to the shuttle.

WorfRiker is one of the more well known TNG pairings, although not as popular as others. Many shippers enjoy the two's relationship due to their slight antagonism. As with the way Riker says most things, it comes off as flirting very often. Those that started to shipping them in the later seasons often saw it as the solution to the love triangle with Deanna. Foregoing the axis to ship the two sides. Many shippers also jumped onboard during season 3 of Picard. As Worf had a tendency to accidentally add inuendo to things that only Riker seemed to pick up on. Which added fuel to some shippers. On AO3, WorfRiker is the second most written ship for Worf and the fourth most written for Riker. There are currently 70+ written works.
