YaeScara is the family ship between Yae Miko and Scaramouche from the Genshin Impact fandom.

Canon[]

Yae Miko and Scaramouche are connected through Raiden Ei, the Electro Archon and creator of Scaramouche. Yae Miko is not only Ei’s closest confidant but also her familiar, serving as the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine and the overseer of many key events in Inazuma. While Yae and Scaramouche have never interacted on-screen, their only direct narrative connection occurs in Scaramouche’s Character Story 2 and Yae Miko’s former voiceline “About Kunikuzushi,” which was removed after Scaramouche erased his existence from Irminsul.

In her voiceline, Yae reflects on her concerns regarding Ei’s decision to let Scaramouche live:

“I thought it was a disaster waiting to happen at the time, but she insisted that she wasn't going to lift a finger against the object of her own creation. Had I known how things would unfold, I would have simply disposed of it without her knowing... What about now? Hehe... Well, we're no longer waiting for the disaster to happen, are we?”
— Mikos' Voiceline About Kunikuzushi before his erasure.

Miko’s comment shows she was aware of Scaramouche’s unstable nature from early on and hints at a long-standing concern for the consequences of Ei’s choice.

Wanderer's Character Story 2[]

Although they have no on-screen interactions, Yae Miko and Scaramouche cross paths briefly in Wanderer’s Character Story 2. During the Tatarasuna Incident, Scaramouche, then known as the Kabukimono, attempted to request help from the Raiden Shogun after disaster struck the furnace in Tatarasuna. With Ei unreachable, he instead met with Yae Miko. She rushed to meet him, but their encounter was short-lived. The Kabukimono, distressed and desperate, left in despair, believing the Shogunate had turned its back on Tatarasuna.

Despite his rejection, Yae Miko still carried out his request, dispatching aid to the region. After the incident, she correctly inferred that Kabukimono had been emotionally devastated by betrayal. Out of respect, she chose not to disturb him further and quietly returned his golden feather through another messenger. Although their interaction was limited, the narrative shows that Yae Miko did care about him in her own way.

Fanon[]

While Yae Miko and Scaramouche is not a widely popular romantic ship in the fandom, many fans interpret their relationship in a familial context instead. Yae Miko is often portrayed as a mother figure to Wanderer, especially given her close bond with Ei, whom fans sometimes consider her wife or partner, leading to portrayals of Yae as Wanderer’s mother or aunt.

Some fans have also pointed out similarities between their emotes: Wanderer’s includes “Confident” and “Pensive,” while Yae’s are “Confident” and “Happy,” and Ei’s are “Serious” and “Pensive.” This has led to playful speculation that Wanderer inherited traits from both Ei and Miko. Additionally, fans often note that Wanderer’s eyes more closely resemble Miko’s than Ei’s, fueling the fan theory that he is their “love child.”

In fan art and fanon content, they are frequently depicted as a family unit, with Ei and Yae as parental figures, Wanderer as their child, and the Raiden Shogun, his younger sister.
