Yaela is the femslash ship between Yae Miko and Layla from the Genshin Impact fandom.

Fabulous Fungus Frenzy[]
While in Port Ormos checking the competition order, Layla meets Yae Miko for the first time. Miko had come to Sumeru to gather inspiration for a light novel. Miko's writer companion Souka has a nervous breakdown upon meeting the Traveler, to which Miko tells her to go and use it as writing material. Layla finds Miko terrifying but dedicated to her craft, and hopes they can be friends. Miko asks who the "soft spoken little lady" is, and upon hearing that Layla wants to domesticate her Fungi, finds it fascinating and assumes her to be full of secrets. Miko introduces herself as a light novel editor only out of personal interest, and at the moment she is most interested in Layla. Layla says she has no idea how to respond to that, then runs off to start training her Fungi. Paimon scolds Miko for scaring off Layla, to which Miko responds that she'll just have to talk to her again later to clear things up.
The next day, Layla has her first match and wins easier than she thought she would. She then sees Miko's opponent running away after a crushing defeat. Miko needs to discuss something with the Traveler, so Layla decides to accompany her. Miko takes everyone to a spot to strengthen their bonds with their Fungi. Layla decides to try turning off the Wisdom Orb to see if the Fungi will stay tamed, and Miko assures her that they are here to keep her safe. Seeing that the Fungi remain docile, Miko comments that perhaps Layla's idea of domesticating the Fungi will be able to come true yet.
On the third day, Layla affirms to Miko that she's been beating her opponents and thanks her for training them. Layla wants to keep preparing for future matches, but has to meet with the Almighty Merchant to get the ingredients she needs for her Fungi. Miko offers to join Layla in her training session, while leaving her errand to the Traveler and Paimon.
Layla and Miko both make it to the semi-finals, but lose their matches—Layla to the Traveler, and Miko to Haniyyah. Afterward, the Traveler and Paimon go after Haniyyah to try and help her, while Miko suggests Layla stay behind since Haniyyah is not the kind of person Layla is good at dealing with. Following the conclusion of the tournament, Layla over-exerts herself trying to figure out what her Shroom Buddy likes to eat, and asks to go see Miko before she crashes.

Yaela sailed thanks to Layla and Miko's unexpected but welcome interactions in the Version 3.2 event Fabulous Fungus Frenzy. The ship is fueled by their mutual interest in each other, with Layla wanting to be Miko's friend right off the bat despite finding her intimidating, and Miko quickly becoming very interested in Layla. Shippers find it cute that Miko uses the nickname "little Layla" and that Layla calls Miko "Miss Yae". They also have a contrasting dynamic with Layla being socially awkward while Miko is unabashed and teasing yet caring. Yaela is one of Layla's most popular ships on AO3, rivalling Laylou and ScaraLayla.
