YakoNene is the friendship between Yako and Yashiro Nene from the Toilet-bound Hanako-kun fandom.
Canon[]
Nene learns of the Misaki Stairs, Yako's boundary, from her friend Aoi. After Aoi goes missing, Nene goes with Hanako and Kou to the Misaki Stairs. A telephone rings and Nene picks it up. Yako is on the other end, though she pretends to be Misaki. Yako asks for Nene, Hanako and Kou to find body parts. When the three reach the top of the Misaki Stairs, they find a body with all of the body parts they found.
Yako appears before the trio and Nene thinks to herself about how gorgeous Yako is. Yako is excited to see the body walk but is disappointed to see it collapse. Yako is about to use her scissors to tear Nene apart, but Kou saves her in time. Kou keeps Yako busy while Hanako brings Nene to the bottom of Yako's boundary. At the bottom of the boundary, Nene finds Yako's diary. She reads it and finds out the truth about "Misaki." Nene figures out that Yako loved Misaki and tells Yako that what she's doing won't make Misaki happy. Yako tells Nene she would do anything to get Misaki back and attacks Nene who gets saved by Hanako.
Nene looks for Yako's yorishiro to take away her source of power. Yako tries to stop Nene, saying that she needs her yorishiro to make Misaki and that everything she's done was for Misaki. Nene is reminded of herself from a few weeks ago, and she tells Yako that she isn't doing anything for Misaki and that Yako is doing it for herself. Nene takes the seal off of Yako's yorishiro.
Yako transforms into her fox form and Hanako introduces her to Nene. Nene gives the class photo Yako took with Misaki to Yako. Yako bites Nene's hand for calling her "Fox-san," saying she has no intentions of being friends with Nene. Yako threatens to bite Nene's hand off the next time she calls her "Fox-san," and Yako leaves.
Hanako, Kou and Nene go to the Tanabata Star Festival at the Misaki Stairs. Yako helps Nene get changed and gets Kou to say something after he sees Nene. Yako also stands on top of Hanako after he calls Nene a radish.

Fanon[]
YakoNene doesn't get much recognition as the two don't have a lot of moments together. Those who do recognize the friendship like how Yako began to warm up to Nene instead of being bitter towards Nene. There's almost no fan art of the two together, nor is there much fan fiction. The pairing isn't liked that much as a femslash ship due to Yako being an adult. It also isn't liked because of rival ships such as Hananene, Aoinene, TsuchiYako and NagiYako.
