Yesterday's Present is the poly ship between Sonic the Hedgehog, Anna, Rapunzel and Glinda from the Sonic the Hedgehog, Frozen, Tangled and The Wizard of Oz fandoms.

Yesterday's Present is a four way crossover with 2 Disney character, 1 SEGA character and a 1 Universal character, curiously, they are all from different forms of media, Cinema (Anna), Television (Rapunzel), Theater (Glinda) & Video games (Sonic). They never met since they are from different universes.

The existence of this ship is because these 4 character share many similarities.
The four are public figures with a big, great reputation to maintain. Anna as the new Queen of Arendelle, Sonic as the "hero" of the planet, Glinda as the representation of all goodness in Oz and Rapunzel as the princess and future queen of Corona. They have a moment were they must do what's right even though it doesn't seem like a good idea. Anna going after Elsa when she leaves Arendelle and years later destroying the dam of the Enchanted Forest, Sonic having to use a fake chaos emerald to escape the pod in which he was about to die, Glinda letting Elphaba go after their meeting with the Wizard and Rapunzel saving Cassandra after she dies fighting Zhan Tiri.
The four have fallen in love with a member of the royalty at least once and were willing to/ended up marrying them. Anna with Hans of the South Islands, Sonic with Sally Acorn, Glinda with Fiyero Tigelaar and Rapunzel with Eugene Fitzherbert. They all have one/another person that has genuine feelings for them, Kristoff, Amy, Boq & Eugene.
They all have a complex yet close relationship with an introverted person and constantly try to reach out to them, Elsa, Shadow, Elphaba & Cassandra. They are extroverted and have no problems expressing their feelings. They end up sacrificing something at that point of their stories, Anna her life to save Elsa from Hans, Sonic sacrificing himself in Sonic Frontiers where he was consumed by The End, Glinda willing to destroy her reputation for Elphaba & Rapunzel exchanging her own life to save Cassandra after fighting Zhan Tiri.
They have pretty similar philosophies. exploring the world, find all its thrills and living in the moment, enjoying every second of the now instead of focusing on the past, even though it can be tormenting. The four are carefree and long for attention in their own different ways, they are optimistic, caring, and daring, as well as free-spirits, but can be a bit impulsive and awkward.

It's believed that if these character get to meet each other they would get along pretty well, specially Rapunzel and Sonic, because of their experiences and adventures, probably comforting each other while feeling good around people that understands them. Their relationship with their "opposites", Elsa, Shadow, Elphaba & Cassandra is a really important part of their lives since they have their own kind of complexity, a sisterhood that was broken but then fixed thanks to love, a friendly almost brotherly but fierce rivalry, a really close friendship that was broken by someone in power & a friendship that unwillingly ended up overshadowing one of them.
