YoriUta is the het ship between Yoriichi Tsugikuni and Uta from the Demon Slayer fandom.
Canon[]
Yoriichi and Uta met long before the story began. At this time Yoriichi left his home and went on to just walk for a long time. At some point during this he saw a girl standing still in the field. The girl who was standing in the field was Uta. He walked closer and asked what Uta was doing. Uta explained her situation and said she was catching tadpoles to take them with her to keep her company. After this the two stood there until sunrise. And at that time Uta released the tadpoles again. This caused Yoriichi to ask why she did that. To which Uta says that she feels bad separating them from their families. Responding to this Yoriichi said that he would accompany her to her house. This gesture caused Uta to turn and look at him whilst starting to cry.
The two of them grew closer and lived together in Uta’s old family home. After this there is not much shown of the two during that time. However 10 years after they met Uta and Yoriichi got married. Some time later Uta was pregnant with their first child and at this point she was near the time she would give birth. Because of this Yoriichi left her at home and went on to look for a midwife. Whilst he was helping someone on his way back, a demon came to their house and killed Uta and their unborn child. When Yoriichi found out he laid next to Uta and their unborn child for days. It was only when a Demon Slayer came across their house, and advised Yoriichi to bury Uta and his unborn child. Moving on Yoriichi would go on and always carry a bag, which was likely made of Uta kimono.
During one of Yoriichi’s visits to Sumiyoshi Kamado’s house, he told Sumiyoshi about how he wanted to live a peaceful and happy life with Uta. Sumire, the daughter of Sumiyoshi, tugs on Yoriichi haori wanted to be picked up, Yoriichi by his friend's request does so. Whilst he lifts Sumire up, she laughs and smiles which causes Yoriichi to break down in tears and hug Sumire tightly. This is due to him being reminded of Uta and their unborn child.
In volume 23 in one of the extra pages regarding the descendants and reincarnations, the two are shown on the bottom left side of the page, alongside a child that Uta is carrying. Thus indicating that the two were reincarnated and can now live happily with their child.
Fanon[]
YoriUta is a well-liked and relatively popular pairing in the fandom. Yet, it is also a rare ship in the anime part of the fandom because they have only appeared in the manga so far, although some anime fans do know about them. Many fans are also happy that the two got a second chance to go on and live a happy and peaceful life.
