Yoriichi Tsugikuni is a character from the Demon Slayer fandom.
Character[]
Yoriichi Tsugukuni is considered the strongest Demon Slayer to ever live. Yoriichi was born in the Sengoku period with a mark on his strange birthmark on his forehead, which caused his father to declare that he be executed. Yoriichi often supported his mother, Akeno, especially on her left side because she was nearly paralyzed on that side of her body. Yoriichi was always quiet and his family believed he was hard of hearing, which was disproved when he said something to Michikatsu, his older twin brother. In an attempt to cure Yoriichi's supposed “deafness”, his mother crafted him hanafuda charm earrings. Yoriichi was exceptionally strong because he was born with the Demon Slayer Mark, which caused his brother to become jealous and envious of him. Yoriichi created the first ever Breathing Style and he later dubbed it “Sun Breathing.” Since Sun Breathing was the first ever Breathing Style, every existing Breathing Technique is deprived from Sun. When Yoriichi was in his late teens to young adult years, he engaged in battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, the progenitor of demons. Because of Yoriichi's advanced skills, he came extremely close to killing Kibutsuji, but Kibutsuji managed to escape after self-splitting. Soon after, his fellow Demon Slayers confronted and informed him about his brother's transformation into a demon. Yoriichi took responsibility for his letting Kibutsuji and one of his henchwoman escape, and brother becoming a demon. He was then exiled from the Demon Slayer Corps.
Because Yoriichi was born with the Demon Slayer Mark, he surpassed the curse but passed away at the age of 80 during a battle against his brother.
