YoshiShy is the het ship between Yoshi and Fluttershy from the Super Mario and My Little Pony fandoms.

Canon

As both hail from different franchises, they never met. Both are major characters of their respective franchises, although Yoshi’s involvement in the games gradually increased after his debut in Super Mario World. Both also have the ability of flight, but each have their limits of performing such: the dinosaur requires specific power-up wings or a blue Koopa Troopa shell to gain such, while Fluttershy does not fly much of the time in the cartoons at first. Plus, both Yoshi and Fluttershy are friendly, and can also be considered to be the “cute”-type, in their own franchises. Both characters in their respective shows usually teach about friendship, though Yoshi has a childish personality and a big appetite in the DiC cartoon.

Fanon

Despite both characters debuting over 10-30 years ago, this crossover ship has been the latest one to be conceived. It is greatly overshadowed by more-popular ships like Yoshirdo (Yoshi×Birdo), Fluttercord (Fluttershy×Discord), and FlutterDash (Fluttershy×Rainbow Dash). The ship is mainly focused on fan-art. Most of the fan-art is hand drawn, while some others are digital art. So far, there hasn't been any animations of this ship yet.

An artist by the name of Justin Valdecanas has drawn and colored both characters together since mid-2021. He is likely the originator of Mario×MLP crossovers. He uploads mainly on DeviantArt and Instagram, the latter under the name of “YoShy”. He also made fan-children from the pair, two male dinosaurs and three female ponies, their names based on their “parents”: Yoshy (eldest son), Fluttershi (eldest daughter), Lil’Shy (older daughter), Yoshishy (younger son), and Dinoshy (youngest daughter). The latter is half-pony and half-dinosaur. Besides these, there are also artworks where they mostly have just Yoshi and Fluttershy. Some artwork pics that were drawn include Fluttershy using Yoshi as an umbrella, Yoshi and Fluttershy on a date, Fluttershy singing the song You’re In My Head Like a Catchy Song (a song that Pear Butter sang to Bright Macintosh in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic season 7) to Yoshi, Yoshi carrying Fluttershy, and even one based the infamous MordeTwi Airplanes meme. There is also a story of how Yoshi met Fluttershy, made by Justin Valdecanas on DeviantArt. The story is about Yoshi, who got kidnapped by Kamek and Queen Chrysalis, ends up in Equestria after luckily escaping from them. He then meets Fluttershy, becomes best friends with Fluttershy, and learns a lot about friendship after meeting her. Not only does Yoshi meet Fluttershy, but he also meets Fluttershy's other friends, including Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Twilight Sparkle, and quite surprisingly, Spike. While meeting up with them, he spends a great time with them, while he learns about friendship. Before, it seemed like Yoshi wanted to get back with his parents, but he learns that there is a lot more to life than just family. After a reunion, Yoshi thought of an idea to marry Fluttershy. Years later in the story, Yoshi marries Fluttershy, and they both had kids, naming them Yoshy and Fluttershi. Finally, Yoshi's parents had another baby, naming her as Yosha, who is going to be a little sister for Yoshi.
