Canon[]
Breath of the Wild[]
The earliest known interaction between Mipha and Princess Zelda chronologically is during the Champion Mipha's Song cutscene where Princess Zelda meets with Mipha at the Veiled Falls to ask if she would be Vah Ruta's pilot, which she accepted, and Mipha asks for the names of the other Champions and Zelda goes through the names of the other pilots, but she could not bring herself to say Link's name, calling him the knight with the sword that seals the darkness, which Mipha already becoming aware of who the person was. She calls for her brother Sidon but when Zelda tells her that he might be too young for climb up the waterfall, Mipha tells her that one day that she must leave him to face her fate with Ruta. She then rides down the falls to bring Sidon up to tell him that if anything happens to her, he will take up the responsibility of protecting Zora's Domain in her stead, that she believes in him and asks if he would like to go again.
The Champions attend the inauguration ceremony where they received their blue cloths made by Zelda. After that, the Champions hang out at the gazebo where at least three of them taking interest in Zelda's Sheikah Slate. Once Revali passes the slate down to Mipha, Urbosa tells that Zelda discovered the slate's ability to create still images. This catches Mipha's attention and asks the princess for a favor, which has the Champions being involved in a photo shoot with Purah instructing them into getting into position before taking the photo, before Daruk pulls everyone together at the last moment. In Mipha's diary, she records this as the best moment of her life but learns that Link is going to be Zelda's appointed knight, much to her disappointment since it meant that they would spend more time with each other.
Mipha is seen with the other Champions at Mt. Lanayru to meet with Link and the princess, who is despondent that her training did nothing to awaken her dormant power. After Urbosa states that anything could spark her power, Mipha begins to offer up a suggestion to Zelda, when she explains when she uses her healing power when she thinks about something but gets cut off by Calamity Ganon's return and everyone is instructed to get into their positions. Everything goes wrong when Calamity Ganon took control of the Guardians and the Divine Beasts, which resulted in the deaths of Mipha and the Champions and Zelda ends up mourning their losses and later, Zelda awakens her power while trying to protect Link, who is in critical condition at this point, had to be put into the Shrine of Resurrection to heal while Zelda uses her newfound power to confine Ganon.
A century later, Link recovers and is later instructed by Zelda, through Impa via message, to free the Divine Beasts. Link heads to Zora's Domain and with Sidon's help, he is able to free Vah Ruta and as Link is teleported out of Vah Ruta, Mipha pleads with Link to save Princess Zelda. Link does the same favor for the other Divine Beasts as well, resulting in Zelda thanking Link for his efforts. After the EX Champion Mipha's Song sidequest, when Link defeats Waterblight Ganon more than once, Mipha brings up Zelda twice, one where she wants Link to pass the messages to her family, and to tell Zelda that she wished she could have said all of the things she could have told her in life. In another piece of dialogue, Mipha implores Link to save Zelda. Once Calamity Ganon is free, Mipha and the Champions open fire to weaken it. During the epilogue, when Vah Ruta stops working, Link and Zelda head to Zora's Domain to find out what is wrong with it and thinks of King Dorephan, who wants to inquire more of his daughter, and the least they can do is give him closure.
Age of Calamity[]
Zelda personally meets with King Dorephan to inquire of Mipha becoming the Champion, which he refuses not wanting to put his daughter in danger. Zora's Domain is soon attacked by monsters forcing everyone to engage in battle, which becomes difficult for the Zoras due to electrical enemies being among them. After they save Sidon from the Red Maned Lynel at Ploymus Rock, they find more monster reinforcements and Mipha stands beside Zelda to look at her Sheikah Slate that Terrako projected into it to reveal Divine Beast Vah Ruta, which Mipha uses to wipe out the monster army. Dorephan reluctantly agrees to let Mipha become Vah Ruta's pilot's on the condition that she returns home safely, which concerns Zelda. During many of the battles, Mipha is often concerned for Zelda's safety and believes that Link will protect her thoughout the story.
Fanon[]
Zelpha, while it's not as popular as Zelink, Miphlink, and Sidlink among other ships, it still has its fans who would create fanfics that would pair them together and they have made a few fan arts of the two of them. Mipha is clearly envious of Link and Zelda being together, but she would prefer not to start any unneeded drama given that Zelda is already having a series of problems of her own. She is just as worried for Zelda as everyone else is and she is generally empathetic towards her situation, she is shown to be trying to recommend something to her, but she was cut off before she could finish, leaving players wondering what she would have said had she not been interrupted. Princess Zelda is incredibly remorseful for bringing Mipha into the battle that got her killed and had mourned her death like the rest of the Champions and in Age of Calamity, Zelda is subtly unsettled when Mipha's father brings up a condition that Mipha returns home alive. During their strange encounter with Hestu in Korok Forest, Mipha and Zelda can be seen looking at each other in confusion briefly before they follow him.
